Rays of Sunshine Charity gig announces acts…

After becoming one of the world’s most-followed musicians online, Shawn’s first single, "Life Of The Party," broke records, topping the iTunes Charts and selling over 150,000 copies in its first week. His smash hit “Stitches” went quadruple-platinum and he won the “Favourite New Artist” at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards. Shawn joins other international popstars DNCE and Nicole Sherzinger.

Capital Radio Breakfast DJ’s George Shelley and Lilah Parsons have just been announced as hosts for the concert at The SSE Arena, Wembley. Also performing will be Fleur East, X Factor reigning winner Louisa Johnson and rock pop band Lawson. The evening will also see a very special performance from Nicole Scherzinger, singing a unique song with the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Choir, a group of brave and inspiring seriously ill children.

The event will be hosted by Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity www.raysofsunshine.org.uk which grants wishes to seriously ill children across the UK and supported by leading energy company SSE in a new two year partnership.

This new exciting partnership with see Rays of Sunshine’s charity event take place at The SSE Arena, Wembley in 2016 and 2017. SSE’s support of the event will enable the charity to offer 2,000 complimentary tickets to seriously ill children who have previously had wishes granted.

Nicole, who will be performing with the Rays of Sunshine Choir, was inspired to be a part of the event after meeting eight-year-old wish child Ella, from Lancashire, who is currently living with Renal Failure. Ella, who had her wish granted to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ to Simon Cowell by the charity, will be taking to the stage alongside 15 other brave and inspiring seriously ill children.
