Raze.D ditches dancefloor conventions for Angry Silhouette

Few artists evolve as boldly as D.Ramirez. Under his Raze.D moniker, he unveils Angry Silhouette, an album that marks a new artistic chapter, stripping back club formulas in favour of raw, thought-provoking songwriting. Out now on Dreamwave, this 10-track release sees him take full control of his sound, from vocals and production to mixing and lyrical storytelling. Buy/Stream it here: https://dreamwave.lnk.to/AngrySilhouette.

A veteran of the UK’s electronic music landscape, the Ivor Novello-nominated artist has spent 30 years shaping club culture. Now, Angry Silhouette taps into his formative influences—the 80s Sheffield scene, Human League, ABC, and Cabaret Voltaire—while integrating modern alt-rock textures and deep introspection. Written during the pandemic, it reflects both personal and societal struggles, with themes ranging from self-worth to our growing dependence on digital spaces.

As Raze.D puts it, “It’s about reflection and confronting the world we live in. It’s my way of offering a new sound that feels authentic to both where I have come from and where I am now. This music is 100% me. The singing, songwriting, production and mixing – every beat and note is mine. Just my vision, my truth. It’s raw, it’s all personal, it’s all me.”

Sonically, the album blends intricate synth work with evocative melodies and immersive production. Overload brims with jittery synth pulses and powerful vocals, Angry Silhouette channels cold-wave energy through expressive guitar, and Push The Fader distorts industrial beats into a gripping narrative of inner turmoil.

With Angry Silhouette, Raze.D proves that reinvention isn’t just possible—it’s essential. This is his most ambitious and unfiltered work to date, setting a new precedent for his artistry.
