R&B Group Sakyi Comes Blazing With EP ‘Four’

North-West London’s R&B/Pop quartet, SAKYI keeps the summer vibes going with their EP ‘Four’, out now across various music platforms.

The EP marks a new chapter for the group as they make their debut as producers. Experimenting different elements, Sakyi often fuses R&B with a smooth exuberant bounce of Afro flavours, in tracks ‘Damage’ and ‘Run My Way’ and ‘Save Me’.

Not forgetting their roots, Sakyi also drop some smooth soulful after hours in bangers ‘24 Hours’, ‘Your Way’ and ‘Could’ve Been Me’ to keep to their dedicated fans appeased.

Prior to the release of the EP, Sakyi performed two tracks from the EP (‘Run My Way’ and ‘Save Me’) at Ghana Party in the Park in July to over 4,000 people and was met with a raving reponse. Their lead single, ’24 hours’ was featured on Sian Anderson’s Online Finds on BBC 1xtra.

Sakyi consist of brothers Reece Aaron, Carl and Eden, who collectively have an undenied passion for soulful R&B of the nineties and noughties, citing the likes of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Boyz 2 Men as their greatest influences.

They appeared on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2015, reaching the semi-finals. Their impressive spin on R&B classics, coupled with their explosive stage presence, has left an indelible mark on the audience.

Since appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, Sakyi went to perfect their craft, taking great strides on to becoming one of UK’s promising R&B pop group. Their debut single, ‘Bad As You’, featured on SBTV, went on to garnered over 40K firmly placing them in the view of UK’s biggest music tastemakers, such as BBC 1xta’s DJ Ace.

Sakyi now have a weekly live session called Sakyi Sundays, where the guys interact with fans and showcase their silky smooth harmonies. The session has gained a huge following within a short space of time, generating over 500k followers in just six months. Their rendition of Michael Jackson’s classic, Man In The Mirror, generated way over 8 million views alone.

Now with their EP is out in full force it’s very safe to assume that Sakyi  can only go from strength to strength, making them the ones to watch for 2022.
