Re.You and Robin M Join Forces on ‘Mamba’

It’s been a busy end to the year for German artist Re.You. Just a week after the release of his official remix for Habishman’s ‘Evolving’ on Dubfire’s SCI+TEC imprint, the in-demand Berlin-based DJ, producer and LSF21+ label co-founder now looks to end 2023 on a high, as he teams up with London-based producer and ULU Records founder Robin M for their final single of the year, ‘Mamba’.

Out now via Robin’s burgeoning UK record label, Robin M and Re.You’s eagerly anticipated debut collaboration delivers everything we’d come to expect and more from the meeting of these two musical masterminds, who seem to be going from strength to strength with each passing release. Adding to their respective catalogues with another heady slice of tribal, peak-time gold, Re.You and Robin M’s collective creativity and flawless production credentials shine through across this latest release, as they deliver a mesmerising Afro House cut, brimming with expansive soundscapes, chugging rhythms and mind-bending vocal drops.

Adopting a powerful, yet retrained approach to their first studio collaboration, ‘Mamba’ champions the Afro-beat sensibilities that remain synonymous with both Re.You and Robin M’s own unique strains of underground music, combining heavy basslines with syncopated rhythmic phrasing, to unleash a final product that delivers so much more than the sum of its collective parts.

Speaking about the collaboration, Re.You commented:

“I first encountered Robin at Beatclub in London, and our friendship began that night. Over time, we discussed collaborating, leading to the creation of two productions. “Mamba” was crafted with the clubs in mind, reminiscent of where our paths first crossed”.

Robin M went on to say:

“I have always loved Re.You’s productions. When I collaborate I also really like to connect with people, and when I met Re.You his energy was amazing, we had a lot of fun and it was an instant friendship from the beginning. We discussed doing music together and I’m very excited to share our first track “Mamba” with the world”.

With releases on industry leading labels including Keinemusik, LSF21+, Souvenir Music, mobile, SCI+TEC and Moon Harbour, to name a few, Re.You has garnered a dedicated global fanbase and has established himself as one of the key players within the underground electronic music space over the past few years. Finding inspiration and energy through each and every aspect of his musical career, the German native is well known for his ability to transmit emotion and movement through his deft compositions, and will no doubt be stepping into house music’s upper echelons in 2024.

London born DJ/Producer Robin M has created a signature sound inspired by his combined Italian/Ethiopian/British heritage, which has seen him gain momentum around the world. Robin heads up his own label imprint, ULU Records, and within its first year of existence ULU’s releases have already topped the Beatport and Traxsource charts and achieved a certified Platinum record. Outside his own label Robin has released music on Bedouin’s Human By Default label, Franky Wah’s SHEN, Moblack and FFRR. His own tracks are played by some of the most influential DJs in the world including Black Coffee, Bedouin, Keinemusik, Damian Lazarus and many more. This summer saw a residency at Blue Marlin Ibiza and a staggering 8 records consistently supported across the Island by top tier DJ’s throughout the season.
