Re.You Returns to LSF21+ with Two-Track ‘Down’ EP

Laying claim to a prolific run of releases on some of the industry’s most respected labels over the course of 2024, Berlin-based DJ, producer and LSF21+ label head Re.You now returns to his staple home for his latest musical project, as he unveils his remarkable ‘Down’ EP.

Featuring two brand new originals that explore some of Marius’ finest iterations of vocal-led Afro House to date, the ‘Down’ EP marks another extraordinary showcase in cutting-edge electronic music from Re.You, whose career has been filled with countless standout releases on leading labels including Keinemusik, Souvenir Music, mobilee, MoBlack, Moon Harbour, Azzur, Magnifik and his very own LSF21+ imprint, to name a few.

Kickstarting the EP in emphatic fashion, the opening title track, ‘Down’, is primed for the dancefloor. The animated six-minute title track sees Re.You breathe a vivacious melodic energy into the vibrant opener, as he pieces together a mesmerising concoction of analog instrumentation, expertly manipulated vocals and forward-thinking production techniques.

On the flip, we see the introduction of ‘Distance’; an expressive and expansive record, focussed around trippy, drawn-out synth refrains, tribal vocals and effervescent four-four beats. Rounding out the EP in style, Re.You’s unique and modern Afro House trademark is placed front and centre, as he pulls out all the stops with another blockbuster hit.

A stalwart of Germany’s vibrant electronic music scene, Re.You has been a beacon of the underground house music circuit for over a decade now, boasting a consistent stream of stand-out records on some of the industry’s most prominent labels. Over the course of his distinguished career, the Berlin native has garnered a dedicated global fanbase and has established himself as one of the key players within the underground electronic music space. Finding inspiration and energy through every aspect of his musical career, the LSF21+ boss is known for his innate ability to transmit emotion and movement through his deft compositions, and has stepped into house music’s upper echelons over the past few years.
