He's back! UK mastermind Curbi presents his new single 'Red Point' with much critical acclaim. Already supported by loads of DJs, it's a track that crosses boundaries, taking the trademark Curbi sound into a fresh, new direction. Better focus on this 'Red Point', out now through Spinnin' Records.
It's quite the success story, the tale of Curbi. Bursting onto the scene last year at the tender age of 16, he provided audiences with some instant dance classics like 'Discharge', 'Rubber' and the Fox Stevenson collab 'Hoohah', all reaching high in the Beatport charts, gaining millions of streams.
By now, Curbi isn't the new kid on the block anymore. His name resembles a modern take on contemporary house music, moving into a more raw, gritty sound that keeps on evolving with every release. 2016 records like '51' and 'Triple Six' (released on Tiësto's Musical Freedom label) turned into festival favorites, while Curbi himself grew into a full fledged artist – renowned for his high energy DJ performances.
'Red Point'
With 'Red Point' this triumphal path is hitting a new milestone. It's an upbeat dance track, featuring a mind-bending synth lead, down pitched vocals and raw basslines. In short, it's Curbi pushing the envelope once again, dropping another DJ favorite, already supported by a wide range of artists, including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, David Guetta, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Martin Garrix, Dillon Francis and many more.
"Red Point was real fun to work on. I started out with the simple melody line and the track was just straight forward from there. I tested it out live immediately and it went down great, I could see that people knew it was my track right away which was such a good feeling. After playing it live a couple of times I finished it up and named it 'Red Point'." – Curbi
