Red Rooster Festival announces headliner and full lineup

Set in the idyllic private grounds of Euston Hall, designed by Capability Brown and William Kent, 2015 sees the welcome return of Red Rooster for its second year. Inspired by the sounds and lifestyle of America’s Deep South, Suffolk’s R&B, Blues and Americana festival takes place 5th-7th June.

Red Rooster is pleased to announce KITTY, DAISY & LEWIS as headliners for 2015. They will be joining previously announced headliner CW STONEKING. Also newly confirmed are IAN SIEGAL – DUKE GARWOOD – MARCUS BONFANTI – BIG BOY BLOATER – KING SIZE SLIM – SMOKEY ANGLE SHADES – BLACK KAT BOPPERS  – THE VAGABAND – CHESSBOXER – GOAT ROPER RODEO BAND DOM & THE IKOS and THE BLUES KITCHEN GOSPEL CHOIR

Siblings KITTY, DAISY & LEWIS mix old-school R&B, blues and Hawaiian guitar to deliver glorious melodies and swinging rhythms, but are in no way a retro outfit. Their new album, simply titled, The Third, is produced by none other than the Clash’s Mick Jones, and is currently garnering rave reviews. It sparkles with gusto, verve and that wonderful swinging rhythm section – just like their multi-instrumentalist live performances.

Described by Mojo Magazine as ‘one of the most innovative, gifted and engaging blues performers on the planet today,’ multi-award winning IAN SIEGAL is also confirmed to play Red Rooster.  He releases his new ‘Live in Amsterdam’ album on March 9.

Food and drink at Red Rooster is an integral part of the event; what Deep South inspired event wouldn’t be?? Joining the bands will be some of top UK street food traders, including “The Orange Buffalo” (Voted No.1 Wings in London), authentic Creole cooking from “Colonel Tom’s Gumbo”, “The Mac Factory”, Norwich local smokers with their Texan-style BBQ “The Harbecue” and chilli specialists Soul and Pepper.

Drinks are provided by one of the UK’s finest bar suppliers, Soulshakers – a team who specialises in southern hospitality – think Alabama Ice Teas, Louisiana Jam’s, Sazerac’s and Hillbilly Moonshine’s – Red Rooster DOES NOT provide tasteless beer and low quality spirits!

Besides the main and smaller stages, Red Rooster plays host to campfires under the stars, a ‘gators lake, wide open cornfields, shady woodland and fun activities laid on for the kids, which all makes for an atmosphere evocative of  Southern-style hospitality in this safe and friendly festival. The event proved a big hit not only with die-hard blues fans but families and festival goers alike. In fact, you could be forgiven for thinking you’d been transported to one big fun lovin’ Creole party…..
