re:deep – Hum

Vordergrundmusik is a label influenced by folk, proper singer songwriter songs, but also deep house tech and organic dance music and now they turn to re:deep for a new single, ‘Hum’, complete with a remix from Dole & Kom.

Re:deep is from Frankfurt, Germany, and makes deep and sensitive house music with organic elements, lots of funk and soul and has done so a number of times on this label before now. His new cut ‘Hum’ “is simply a result of a jam session. It was a warm and sweaty summer evening when I started to play around on my sansula.”

In original form the track is an organic and slow building bit of deep house with smooth sansula tones and patterns that sooth the mind and soul. Just like something any of the Innervisions crew would drop thanks to its melodic riffs and progressive groove, the humming and deep vocals by D. Riggins, combine to finish the track off in relaxing and hypnotic fashion.

The first remix is actually by re:deep himself and finds him revise the track into a more textured and techy affair, with panning synths, percussive hooks and a cue sense of instrumental funk thanks to the great guitar riffs and awesome spoken word snippets.

Last but not least, the label is proud to welcome Berlin based duo Dole & Kom. The pair has twenty years of experience in the dance industry and they turn in a versatile remix that surely cannot fail to succeed: it’s warm, punchy, rich and sombre and creates a really nice mood from start to finish.

Vordergrundmusik have yet another great release on their hands here thanks to the unique sounds of re:deep.
