rEJEKTS - rEJEKTS – STRUNG OUT IN RENO – REMIX EP

While the original EP garnered plays and support (proper support like, not just the obligatory “Downloading For” kinda feedback) from fellow beard groomers whom we consider as our peers such as Teifschwarz, Hawtin, Dubfire, Carola, AE&D, Reboot, Techinasia, Butch, Paco Onsuna, Dark & Stormy and even striking a chord with more battle scared veterans like Mr C, Nathan Coles and Jam El Mar (Jam & Spoon). I guess it’s a bit of a dad house thing (or granpa house for those with a certain postcode). Anyways we didn’t want to waste such a great EP especially with all the expense we went to by using the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra . . . And so we’ve also put together and remix package (if only just to waft the smell of Vics vapour rub and vanilla tobacco out of the room).

For said remix ep we have drafted in some hot (ish), Young (ish) upstarts (definitely) in Mykel Haze (Hot Creations / Noir Music) and Marc Ashken (No Shoes / Leftroom) who came through with some suitably deep and thankfully contemporary remixes. It’s not just us rEJEKTS who are believing our own hype (this is the part where we wheel out the big names as if to justify our place on this planet and further justify the use of its resources to produce stiff vinyl discs). Said big wigs who think also that we’re pretty dope with our choice of remixers come in the form of Marcel Detman (5/5 – Thanks), Stacey Pullen (4/5 – Cool Thanks), Dubfire (5/5 – Thanks), Danny Tenaglia (4/5 – Thanks!), Anderson Noise (5/5 – Thanks For The Music), DJ T (4/5 – Thank You For The Music), Butch (4/5 – Thanks For The Music), Amine Edge & Dance (4/5 – Downloading now. Thanks), Tobi Neuman (5/5 – Love the Marc Ashken Remix), Ray Okpara (5/5 – Cool Dubby Sounds 🙂 and once again we’re still able to appeal to some of the real stalwarts of the scene with Colin Dale (4/5 – …seriously cool E.P…..really feeling the Mykel Haze & Brett Johnson remixes) and Dave Angel (4/5 – Supporting) also jumping zymaframe first onto the rEJEKT bandwagon.
