Fell Reis - Renaissance

The always deep and soulful MYR Records is back with a new EP from Fell Reis, who serves up two tracks with a real analogue feel.

The Brazilian artist has found his way into the record bags of the likes of Luciano and Paco Osuna thanks to his slick productions on labels such as Word Up Records. They have often hit the top of the Beatport Charts, have helped him get residences in Brazil and tour dates across Europe, as well as gigs at places like Space Ibiza.

Majestic opener ‘Renaissance’ is a hugely dramatic house cut with lush and serene string stabs bringing real tension. The rubbery drums bounce below and colourful synths stretch out to the skies up top. It’s the sort of spine tingling and emotional track to really make an impact in any set.

Offering a darker mood is ‘Event Horizon’, which has rumbling bass and icy shakers, more well-crafted synths bringing tension and uncertainty, and drums that are sure to cast a spell. Filled with cinematic charm and plenty of ups and downs, few tracks have as much narrative as this one.

With this EP Fell Reis really tells a story, and it’s one that is sure to leave a lasting mark on anyone who hears them.

Tracklist:

1. Fell Reis – Renaissance
2. Fell Reis – Event Horizon
