Renzo Zong, J’Ugaz & Harddisk Tap Into Club Energy and Tribal Roots on ‘Komodo EP’

Peruvian producers Renzo Zong, J’Ugaz and Harddisk unite for a new release, unveiling their ‘Komodo EP’ via Zompayra Records. Through their release, the trio deliver a potent dose of rhythm-led, club-ready music that blends organic textures, tribal grooves, and subtle psychedelic detail – fusing each artist’s signature style into a cohesive three-track journey rooted in both cultural nuance and contemporary dancefloor energy.

Following the success of Renzo Zong’s ‘Del Perú’ EP earlier this year, which captured attention from across the global Electronic Music scene for its heritage-inspired identity and forward-thinking sound, ‘Komodo’ sees him extend his sonic universe into a natural, organic-feeling collaboration. Having worked alongside both J’Ugaz and Harddisk in a performance setting, DJing together in a B3B setup for Backyard at Club Waikiki in Peru, the three creatives are extending their collaboration out from the decks, joining forces to become shared architects of the ‘Komodo EP.’

The title track ‘Komodo’ wastes no time in establishing the tone; with thumping beats and dynamic percussion lines, the hypnotic groove locks in, unravelling with atmospheric textures, pulsating leads, and bright piano motifs. As the arrangement builds with intent, evolving through a driving bassline and captivating vocal layers that bring both weight and warmth to the track’s soundscape, the EP’s rich energy begins to take shape, laying the groundwork for what’s to come.

On ‘Sola Master,’ Tribal percussion patterns take the lead, layered with grittier synth textures, dark-sounding arpeggiators and syncopated vocal hits. Then, through the breakdown, the track introduces a brighter, ethereal quality, introducing soft pads and uplifting piano chords while the rhythmically led low-end continues to pulsate through the arrangement.

In ‘Another Night,’ a bold, groove-focused bassline establishes a bouncy energy, balancing against a commanding spoken-vocal presence, crisp percussion textures and raw, industrial-laced lines. With pulsing synth work and evolving pads, it’s a soundscape that feels altogether immersive and fresh, sure to land well on the dancefloor as it carves intense moments and a forward-pushing journey.

With the ‘Komodo EP,’ Renzo Zong, J’Ugaz and Harddisk deliver a release that reaffirms their shared vision for a distinct, globally resonant sound – marking an exciting union of minds and a compelling addition to each Artists’ growing discographies.

So, take note and dive into the project today — and be sure to follow each artist across social media to stay updated on their individual journeys and the collaborations still to come.
