This February will see the launch of an exciting new venture from the 20/20 Vision camp, coming the shape on 20/20 Editions with a new EP from NTFO.
Jimbolia, Romania born duo NTFO have carved out quite the career over the past eight years with releases for Diynamic, Objektivity and Gruuv whilst maintaining a heavy touring schedule that’s taken them across the globe. Here we see the duo inaugurate 20/20 Vision’s new Editions imprint with a fresh four-tracker, marking a new chapter for the revered house label.
The release opens up with title track ‘Represent’ and sets the tone with chugging bass, modulating synth flutters and raw, robust rhythms. ‘Lagioale’ follows and lays the focus on organic drum sounds while rounded sub bass hits, phasing synth sweeps and expansive resonant synth sweeps ebb and flow throughout the records six-minute duration.
Kicking off the latter half of the EP is ‘Calabrena’ a subtly blooming composition led by dubbed out stabs, crunchy percussion and an infectious snaking bass groove. Last to close the package is ‘Deranj’ rounding things off on a smoother tip with airy ethereal atmospherics, low-slung drums and the running theme of sub bass doses.
NTFO’s ‘Represent’ EP is out on 20/20 Editions 1st February 2016.
