REZZ releases new single ‘Falling’ featuring Underoath

After performing the song to enthusiastic fan reception at her recent live shows, REZZ today releases her new single “Falling” featuring UNDERØATH’s Aaron Gillespie. The accompanying video offers its viewers the chance to escape their own reality through Aaron’s donning of a VR headset. A nod to the inherent value in viewing the world from another’s perspective and experiences, “Falling” also parallels the VR worlds that will accompany each song on REZZ’s ‘Beyond The Senses’.

Speaking about the video, Director Colin G Cooper said, “I love that neither of them come off like they’re conceding anything or trying to change their sound to fit whatever expectations listeners might have for their respective genres, which often happens in a crossover situation. They’re both doing their own thing in a genuine way, and it fits so well together.”

“The concept we landed on is essentially about using VR as a metaphor for being trapped in your own negative, depressive, or anxious thoughts, which can ultimately be self-destructive.”

“I grew up listening to Underoath,” says REZZ. “Working with Aaron was so fun and effortless. It was great to revisit some of what I consider my earliest musical inspiration.”

“Falling” comes from REZZ’s forthcoming self-released ‘Beyond The Senses’ EP, out 24^th July and distributed by AWAL. Billboard has called the new music “haunting and industrial…stomps with all of Rezz‘s signature electric charge.”

REZZ will perform the new music on tour when she returns to Europe this summer for a hectic run of festival appearances including Creamfields and SW4 in the UK. She will be bringing her unparalleled multisensory live show to legendary theatres across the US, including LA’s Greek Theater and her second annual “REZZ Rocks” takeover at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheater.
