Rich Wakley – Lip Service EP

Rich Wakley ‘Lip Service’ is out on Resonance Records on 15th December 2014 with a couple of remixes from Hauswerks & Kreature.

Following on from it’s latest EP from Pierre Codarin, which picked support from heavy hitting names such as Skream, Huxley, B Traits and Leftwing & Kody, Resonance Records gets into it’s twenty fourth release with Rich Wakley ‘Lip Service’.

For the title cut ‘Lip Service’ soft synths and a resonating vox smoothly meander the track into existence while warm rumbling bass tones, shifting percussion and slapping pads inject full-bodied dynamism to proceedings.

First up for or remix duty is Hauswerks who strips things back over hefty kicks, shifting hi hats and reverberating vocals to deliver a robust old school house cut that begs to be moved to. Kreature takes things a little deeper for his re-imagining incorporating wacky intonations over submerged bass and beautifully basic percussion to cultivate an infectious off kilter rhythm that closes the three-track offering off in style.

Rich Wakley ‘Lip Service’ drops on Resonance Records on 15th December 2014.
