Redlight follows up latest club smash, ‘Zum Zum’, with new single ‘Ride That Thing’ — a second taster of his forthcoming artist album, due spring 2018.
Inspired by "80’s Chicago, raw jacking house and early UK Acid" and premiered by Annie Mac on BBC R1, ‘Ride That Thing’ sees Redlight tap into myriad influences, combining heritage sounds, colour and texture with booming, lo-slung basslines — a staple of Redlight output on Lobster Boy.
DJ support further includes BBC's Danny Howard, as well as Kryder, Fedde Le Grand, Matisse & Sadko, Moguai, Juicy M and more.
With his new album on the horizon, Redlight has also announced he’ll be working on more music for DJ Haus’ influential Hot Haus imprint, for whom he released three-track, Dance Mania inspired EP, ‘Club Jams’, early in 2017
But first, here's 'Ride That Thing', a burst of club energy – garage house with a twist, featuring relentless vocal samples, cool sound effects and a groove that just won't stop.
"I'm very happy to be releasing 'Ride That Thing' right now.. keeping that bandwidth wide and the vibes high. Re the video, I felt like gettin’ a bit fruity with this one.." – Redlight
