Rio Music Conference Announces Dates for 2017

The ninth Global Edition of Rio Music Conference is all set to bring the world’s music moguls, movers and shakers to Rio de Janeiro between the 15th and 28th of February 2017 after pre-events in Curitiba and São Paulo.

The conference, which grows each year and has become a must visit event for anyone in the music industry, consists of more than 100 activities, including lectures, debates, seminars, workshops, speed coaching and more with the participation of the most relevant players from the scene. In 2017 it takes place in Museu de Arte do Rio on February 15th, 16th and 17th with the  biggest players of the electronic music and live entertainment industry, entrepreneurs, artists and other professionals all set to attend.

The key topics to be discussed this year are, as ever, the most pressing of the day. They include marketing, sponsorship and branding experience sectors; technical and music production; copyright; public policies; event management and other cultural endeavours; artist management; technology; global trends in electronic music as well as more about the party and festival scene.

At RMC 2017 there will be the release of a Market Yearbook, a big publication featuring facts and ongoings of this industry from the past year, in addition to announcing the winners of the VI RMC Awards which highlights 2016's Best of the Year from more than 15 categories. There will also be a busy week of night time events for delegates, workshops and networking opportunities.

This is also part of an extensive schedule for the traditional Rio Music Carnival, the closing festival for RMC, between February 24th and 28th, at Marina da Glória and other locations TBA. Rio Music Carnival occurs during Rio’s carnival holidays, and presents five days of partying with a line-up of the best national and international artists.

Tickets for Rio Music Carnival will be on sale soon and registrations for RMC 2017 include the Conference – February 15, 16 and 17th – as well as panels and debates with participation from the most relevant players from the entertainment business, nationally and internationally, as well as workshops featuring live tutorials by experts in the field, plus networking: lounges for acquaintanceship.

RMC Club Week is a night program between February 15th and February 28th, when the city’s various nightclubs ally with RMC to provide benefits for the conference’s participants, like discounts or even free entrance.
