After appearing on Déepalma Records’ ‘Ibiza Winter Moods’ and 10th Anniversary Ibiza compilations in 2023, Brighton-based Hollistic is back with an impressive debut EP on sister label Déepalma Soul.
The EP opens with the title cut ‘On A Roll,’ effortlessly fusing house and funk for an undulating dancefloor groover full of soulful flavours throughout. Chunky drums, head-turning brass and a catchy vocal hook – it has everything you’d expect from an authentic four-to-the-floor club jam.
‘Tell Me What You Want’ completes the EP with another display of bonafide, vocal-led house music with funky nuances. Pumping drum grooves and sultry Rhodes chords combine with silky strings and another gorgeous vocal topline on this bright, uplifting poolside cut.
