Incorrect Music label head Anthony Attalla returns to his label this June with ‘Rock The Beats’, accompanied by a remix from Dosem.
Chicago-based producer and DJ Anthony Attalla has been gradually carving out a name for himself over the past decade via releases from Green Velvet’s Relief alongside the legendary Gene Farris, Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records, Kling Klong, Stereo and of course his very own Incorrect Music where he returns to here.
The original mix of ‘Rock The Beats’ takes the lead on the package, already being championed by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show and Nic Fanciulli on tour, seeing Anthony deliver a heady house groove fuelled by rolling metallic percussion, stuttering vocal shots and sporadic rave chords whilst resonant synth licks and shuffling snares ebb and flow throughout.
Dosem’s interpretation of ‘Rock The Beats’ then closes out the package, stripping back the original to a rawer state with swelling sub bass hits, low-slung drums and processed extractions from the original composition’s hooky melodies and chords.
