Jäger Soho, Jägermeister and Soho Radio’s collaborative events space, is partnering with Rough Trade Books for an exclusive Christmas pop-up shop, plus daily radio shows, live vinyl sessions, mini exhibitions and intimate events.
The pop-up will kick off on Monday 25th November with a very special vinyl session from the legendary post-punk band The Raincoats. Gina Birch and Ana da Silva, founding members of the band, will perform two tracks live, which will be cut straight to vinyl creating a one-off acetate. This will be sold by auction to raise money for their charity of choice, Cancer Research.
The pop-up shop will have a special selection of titles from Rough Trade Books available to peruse and purchase, whilst you check out the exhibition ‘Hollywood Box Office Top 10’ by author and artist Babak Ganjei. The exhibition will feature Ganjei’s hallucinatory set of film pitches from his Rough Trade Edition entitled ‘Film Ideas’, a book that brilliantly exposes our thin, absurd media culture with Ganjei’s singular world-vision.
As a special closing party, open to everyone, on Friday 6th December from 7pm until 9pm DJ Jonny Banger will lead a one-off euphoric Christmas radio show alongside complementary delicious cocktails courtesy of Jägermeister.
Throughout the takeover, Soho Radio will host daily radio shows curated by Rough Trade Books. For more information on the pop-up plans, visit the Rough Trade Books website.
