Roger Sanchez, fresh from reigniting his S-Man alias in 2014, returns to his Undr The Radr imprint with ‘New Evolution’ alongside Tom Flynn and Cevin Fisher.
Sanchez is a real-deal house music legend and his S-Man alias, kicked off in 1994 so Roger could pursue ‘dark, dirty, straight dance floor tracks’, has given house some iconic tracks in ‘Time 2 Stop’ and ‘Rhumba’ while Cevin Fisher is held in similar regard by scholars of 4:4 beats. Meeting the legendary duo on ‘New Evolution’ is Tom Flynn, a nu-school producer who can more than hold his own having dropped releases for Dirtybird, Pets and Hot Creations in recent years.
‘New Evolution’ lives up to the punchy, floor focussed remit of S-Man perfectly, with an infectious bass groove, profound kicks and shuffling hats injecting immediate energy into the cut before lively synths and a heady vocal contributions crash the beat with dynamic effect. The original mix is also accompanied by both an instrumental and acapella.
S-Man & Tom Flynn feat. Cevin Fisher is released on Undr The Radr on 25th May 2015.
