Mateo Cárdenas, also known as CABE is a Colombian-Mexican producer currently based in Mexico City. His “Amor Amor Amor EP” is his debut on WHIPBASS and a personal exploration that merges hardgroove and hypnotic techno with carefully played salsa elements and vocals. This project represents a Latin approach to the genre not by leaning into ‘Latincore ‘ clichés, but by bringing a unique, sober perspective rooted in techno’s structure while injecting the rhythmic soul of salsa.
