Sands Ibiza moved + Opening Party this Sunday
Sands Ibiza is back and better than ever. The beloved beach bar has moved along Playa d’en Bossa to a peaceful haunt away from the hubbub of noisy neighbours. Set just back from the eponymous white sand beach, Sands overlooks a stunning stretch of the Mediterranean with unimpeded views to Formentera. In keeping with its new location, Sands is bright and airy – the perfect spot for enjoying sultry summer afternoons over a bottle of champagne or Sands’ signature kiwi mojitos.
Renowned head chef Tim Payne and his team have created a new menu for summer 2014 featuring the best of Mediterranean cooking with a fusion twist. A passionate advocate of quality and local food, Tim’s menu reflects Ibiza’s rich culinary heritage with fresh seafood, carefully sourced meats and only the finest ingredients.
Sands is about far more than food though, as anyone who has experienced its parties can attest. During the day local DJs spin Balearic beats but when evening comes it is all about music. Last year witnessed unforgettable nights with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode party, Carl Cox’s birthday bash, and Sands birthday which saw Seth Troxler, Skream, Eats Everything and Ben Pearce go back to back to back in an historic mash-up that people are still talking about!
“We have more great free parties planned for 2014,” says co-owner Jason Bull. Look out for familiar faces like Carl Cox, Eats Everything and tINI plus island favourites like Andy Baxter and Jason Bye.
