Sankeys Ibiza 2013 closings – set times & final acts announced!

Just under a week to go till Sankeys Ibiza’s anticipated closing party for season 2013 and the line-up just got fatter.
 
Responsible for one of the island’s most critically acclaimed residencies with their Flying Circus parties that brought a tribe of first-rate cutting-edge DJs and live acts to Friday night at Sankeys, Audiofly will be bringing their on-point brand of house and techno to the closing party. Always deep and moving, this is one performance not to miss.

Fresh from laying down a sharp set of percussive-driven house and techno at the Carnival Cities closing party last Saturday, Shlomi Aber is returning for another hiplashing DJ spot. The Israeli artist has enjoyed a strong association with the club this season, mixing the ‘Live at Sankeys Ibiza’ CD that came out earlier this summer, while his label Be As One also co-hosted a successful night in conjunction with Carnival Cities, while the imprint continues to excel with releases from Guti, Alex Picone and more.

We are excited to announce Nastia as our new worldwide resident for Sankeys tours and clubs. She will be bringing her special brand of twilight techno, melancholic minimal, stripped-down ghetto funk and sustained house to the closing next week. A mainstay at Kazantip since 2006, she also hosts her own radio show Propoganda on Ukraine’s Kiss FM, and has recently launched a record label of the same name. Since 2010 she’s been a resident of Moscow’s hugely respected Arma17 club and is a regular frequent flyer playing all across Eastern Europe as well as securing gigs at SCI+TEC & This And That showcase at ADE last year, plus gigs in London and shows at Brazil’s Warung Beach and Katerholzig in Berlin coming up later this week, proving her stocks are rising with every gig.

Bringing some serious disco vibes to the party, is French veteran DJ Steef. Since the ’90s this enigmatic artist has produced under a plethora of handles, including Troublemakers (who issued cuts on the legendary Guidance Recordings), Venus Attack and Copyshop. Now firmly focused on his DJ Steef project, he’ll be bringing a record bag full of fat, slow, funky downtempo house tracks to warm the Sankeys Spektrum dancefloor.

Rounding out the last of the announced guests is The Element, responsible for the mentalist Cosa Nostra events in Malta, who’ll be arriving ready to rinse plenty of deep and futuristic house and techno.
 
Who the final unannounced special guest is, is anyone’s guess. To find out, be there on the night. But if it’s half as good as Danny Tenaglia legendary drop in at last year’s closing, we’re all in for a very special treat.
