Here’s the 18th release on Jerry Bouthier’s Continental records and a very special one at that! Long forgotten discopop hit ‘No Memory’ by Scarlet Fantastic has been given a surprise rejuvination thanks to a batch of intuitive remixes by the likes of The Swiss’ Luke Million and Monday Club.
The combination of Maggie K de Monde’s visionary pro-hippy flights of lyricism, throbbing T-Rex glam riffs and solid italodisco beat spiced by some forward-thinking 12” reworks turned Scarlet Fantastic ‘No Memory’ into one of the anthems of the Summer of Love’s balearic generation in the late 80s/early 90s, championed by Andy Weatherall and Boys Own in London as well as Alfredo in Ibiza.
