Scotland’s biggest electronic dance festival is set to welcome over 8,000 fans across two days at Glasgow’s award winning Riverside Museum venue in just three weeks time. As the excitement builds, festival organisers reveal the top 10 of attractions for the biggest and best ever Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival.
1. BIGGEST AND BEST YET
Now in its third year, The Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival will celebrate its biggest ever event in 2015. With the addition of The Sunset Stage, 2015 will feature three stages and over 40 hours of local and international names on the decks from 4PM-11PM with legendary afterparties at SWG3 set to continue the party vibe into the early hours. The Sunset Stage will feature names including a high energy back-to-back with Midland and Optimo and a pounding set from Thunder Disco Club to name but few.
2. COCOON
Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Magda, Nina Kraviz, POPOF, VJ Reach visuals and world class dancers are all set to bring that international party vibe to Glasgow for the first ever time at this year’s Riverside Festival. For over 15 years Sven Väth’s Cocoon has represented one of the most successful ever party concepts and is responsible for a radical change in Ibiza’s nightlife. Cocoon at Amnesia Ibiza is a phenomenon. Attracting an average of 80,000 visitors a year since 1999 and astonishingly, the numbers continue to grow. Since the Cocoon party series started in 1996 the company has gained name recognition in over 30 countries worldwide. The addition of Cocoon at The Riverside is incredibly exciting and one not to be missed.
3. ICONIC RIVERSIDE MUSEUM BACKDROP
For the third year running, The Electric Frog and Pressure will bring years of experience together to create one of Scotland’s most epic events of the summer and they know only too well what makes the perfect environment for it. The award-winning Riverside Museum was one of Europe’s top attractions in 2014 and offers a breathtaking backdrop and venue for fans to party at. With jaw-dropping sunsets, stunning views aboard the Tall Ship, the Riverside Museum is the ultimate location and just a stone-throw away from the city center, the festival is truly at home in this iconic venue.
4. INTERNATIONAL LINE-UP
The festival organisers are delighted with this year’s line-up featuring an enormous mix of pioneering names in the DJ world alongside local and exciting talent. Acts such as Horse Meat Disco, who recently played a private party for Madonna will play alongside Siriusmodeselektor – the combination of Siriusmo and Modeselektor, who have rocked every corner on the surface of the planet throughout their career. All the hits will be played back to back, front to front and front to back. This collaboration is only touring once; it’s a Scottish exclusive that won’t happen again.
5. VIP ONBOARD THE TALL SHIP
A cultural asset for the city of Glasgow, The Tall Ship boasts outstanding views docked on the river. A 360 degree span on a typical summer’s day offers sunshine views of the city skyline, the incredible Riverside Museum and the gentle flow of Glasgow’s River Clyde. For the first time ever in 2015, the festival will open up the area that has in the past hosted its international DJs for a VIP hospitality service that is sure to blow the mind of all aboard. With special secluded DJ sets, a premium cash bar and exclusive views of the site and stage 2, VIP ticket holders will discover the festival in a unique way, really adding to the special experience that is the Riverside Festival.
