Scotland’s Newest Music Industry Event Resonate 2017 Reveals Final Exciting Plans

With just one week to go until Scotland’s newest music industry event takes over Glasgow’s creative hub, BAaD, event organisers 23rd Precinct Records reveal live band announcement and exciting line-up additions

Set to takeover Glasgow’s BAaD in the East End a week today (Thursday 16th November),RESONATE is a brand new music industry event primed to deliver an incredible event packed with inspiring speakers, workshops and discussions to help develop and celebrate the Scottish music industry.
 
The event is set to become even bigger, as organisers 23rd Precinct Records announceRESONATE LIVE, an evening of live music in BAad available to non-delegates and featuring a brilliant line-up including Flew The Arrow and Ant Thomaz with the headline act still to be announced, stay tuned to RESONATE’s social media for the pending announcement.  
 
Students, professionals, musicians and music-obsessives will all relish in the RESONATE takeover with ample opportunity for networking, collaborating and getting inspired. Tickets are on-sale now via https://www.resonatescot.co.uk
 
The event will feature a phenomenal line-up including keynote speech from the BPI’s Ged Doherty, DF Concerts CEO Geoff Ellis plus panel discussion around ‘Women in Music’and much more.

Jason Edwards (Coda Agency) is the final panellist to be announced, sitting on the Joining The Dots panel alongside John Sanderson (Notting Hill), Emma Stakes (Syco Entertainment), Will Blake (Sound Collective) and Paul Spraggon (SSB Law)
 
Dave Ambrose – The Man, The Myth, The Legendary A&R Man announced as closing keynote speaker for Resonate 2017. Ambrose has helped shape the career of Radiohead, The Sex Pistols, Queen, Duran Duran and The Pet Shop Boys and is an incredible exciting addition to #RESONATE2017
 
Cultural Enterprise Office are set to host an all-day drop ins for delegates to get advice and support across a whole range of topics. The information body will be on hand to offer support to attendees.
 
Ableton certified trainer Simon Stokes aka Petrichor (Soma) will draft in some friends to offer advice and demos at Ableton X Resonate. Ableton users will be able to see the unreleased program and get top tips from Ableton experts before anyone else. Joining Simon will be one half of electronic duo Mia Dora, Rob Etherson and sci-fi techno up and comer Hostel Freaks. There will be a whole range of workshops/demos happening during the day allowing attendees to explore and create their own bespoke RESONATE experience.
 
Offering an incredible insight into the sync side of music, RESONATE panellist Pete Kelly(BT Sport) scooped an incredible three awards at Music Week’s Sync Awards 2017. He won Music Supervisor; -TV, Broadcaster Music Department;- BT Sport and Best Sync; – TV Show (Sport). Attendees will gain an incredible insiders view into how to monetize music in 2018.
 
RESONATE have also added to the massive bank of epic event sponsors including Ableton, Academy for Music & Sound, Musicians Union, XPO North, PRS for Music, ProBTech Management, Incorporated Society of Musicians and DF Concerts. UNESCO funding has also been confirmed enabling the event to truly propel its offering in the first year.
 
The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) was created in 2004 to promote cooperation with and among cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. Glasgow was awarded the designation of UNESCO City of Music in 2008.
