SeanJ Shines with “Brave”

Pop singer/songwriter SeanJ is back with his latest track, the resounding “BRAVE,” out now. With seamless harmonies, radio-ready production, and anthemic choruses, it stands out in his discography. Strong vocals are the focal point of the track, as SeanJ’s encouragement to “turn a new page, and start again” is delivered in the form of a smooth belt. Fans of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, John Legend, and Jacob Collier will gravitate towards the track.

Born and raised in South Africa, SeanJ (Sean Jacobs) is carving his own place in the entertainment world. His background ranges from musician to actor, with experience in theatre and live performance. This is instantly evident in his work, with vocals that evoke those of a Broadway star; bold, succinct, and accessible to any listener. He was formally trained at the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bmus Honours in vocal performance, where he received the SAMRO/Elizabeth Connell Prize for Best Vocalist from 2011-2014. Notable collaborators include Carlo Mombelli, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Lira, Vicky Sampson, James Bassingthwaighte and Bryan Schimmel.

“BRAVE” is being released as part of humanitarian organization RADA’s ‘Unearthed Volume Three’ album. It was written with a message of perseverance and encouragement, which is evident not only in SeanJ’s moving vocal performance, but the track’s lyrics. Speaking about the RADA collaboration, he shares, “This has been a match made in heaven because our vision and mission are aligned.”

The accompanying music video, set for release on June 21st, features scenes of a grieving family as they face continuous obstacles of poverty and loss. SeanJ brings a stellar performance as the protagonist, who works to win back custody of his siblings.  He explains, “As an artist, it has always been my mission to use my craft to inspire, bring healing and offer an escape from a world that can sometimes be very dark.”
