Secret Spade - Secret Spade EP

Drum roll please. Over the past few months Sydney producers Secret Spade have blessed our ears with two singles off their highly anticipated Secret Spade EP. Today, the five-track EP is here.
 
Previously released tracks ‘Gallows’ and ‘In My Mind’ featuring Sarah Bird take the top two spots on this EP, awakening us to that classic dance-electronica vibe, reminiscent of the mid noughties. What develops over the next three tracks is a solid body of work that could easily feature on any Ministry of Sound collection.
 
‘Come With Me’ sees one half of the duo, Johann Willenberg, give us a taste of his soulful vocals atop some seriously grimy and shuffling productions, making it an excellent peaking point for the EP.
 
Transitioning into ‘Everybody’s Invited’ comes a track that plays with warped vocals forming a hypnotic hook that plays with skittling synths, sexy syncopation and downward drumbeats. This 80s sample track is definitely one to have you tripping out in the truest of party form.
 
Rounding out the EP is ‘Fool For You’ an uplifting melodic house track, which favours a vocal lead with big drums and warm pads. No doubt this one will be stuck in your head, in a good way, all day long.
