Oscar Oscar - See Myself

After the success of his recent debut single ‘Hey Ho’, Brisbane artist Oscar Oscar returns this week with his next release ‘See Myself’, which is a brooding daydream-like experience of melodic electronica.

This track was written during a busy workweek when Oscar Oscar started to get ill and lacked any sort of motivation.

“I couldn’t really find much time or motivation for intimate relationships or passions, and I was just kind of finding myself depleted and lazy after work. I guess this was me making sense of that situation and just observing myself,” he said.

This sense of introspection lends itself to understanding the mental state of men in 2017, and how a mother’s love never waivers.

“I tend to see a lot of older men who never really take the time to smell the roses as their lives get consumed by misguided urgency and menial tasks. I feel as if I was in a space where I wasn't really fulfilling what I wanted to emotionally. I needed to take some time to consider that, and I thank my mother for always pushing me towards the things I’m passionate about,” he said.

Take some time now to reflect on the things that really matter in your life right now with the sounds of ‘See Myself’, as the synths circle smoothly and become a rather hypnotic soundscape.

‘See Myself’ is available everywhere now via Majestic Casual Records.
