The latest release on Leftwing & Kody’s Lost Records comes from burgeoning UK producer SEFF, featuring a percussive remix from Wade.
Since signing to Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSIC back in 2012, SEFF’s music has propelled into the foreground, including countless Radio 1 support from the likes of Danny Howard, MistaJam, Skream and Hannah Wants. As well as his own Mindmaze imprint, SEFF has gone on to release on VIVa again, as well as appear on Hot Creations, Dave Seaman’s Selador and Wow! Recordings, with this outing marking his second appearance on Lost Records since remixing Cera Alba earlier this year.
‘See You Dance’ kick-starts the release with a frantic layering of percussion completed with dark waves of sawtooth vibrations, before infectious melodies and looping off-pitch vocals manifest another low-end heavy cut named ‘Dollar is God’. ‘Mañana’ is the last original and the heaviest of the bunch courtesy of hazy bass distortions and contrasting hi hats, whereas Spanish producer Wade strips the original back, replacing it with subtle tribal house sounds to deliver a deeper yet bouncier alternative.
Seff ‘See You Dance’ EP drops on Lost Records on 17th August 2015.
