Selected Cuts Vol.1

Jeudi is one of todays top labels. It puts out a great array of club beats that DJs and dancers love in equal measure. To celebrate that fact they now offer up a sampler of Selected Cuts that is full of treats. Say the label “Focussing on new talents also as well as on excellent producers you might not have on the radar yet, we’re digging deep to bring you new perspectives of deep house and deep techno.”

And they sure do that across all four cuts. First up is Gellert with Blue Jersey Master. His cut is a slow burning house affair with frazzled synths and lots of drama in the spraying bass. The young producer really proves he is a skilful one before Florian Kruse (known from his project Kruse & Nuernberg) goes solo with the brilliant Broken Heart. This is a track that is spine tingling and full of tender emotions with great vocals and spaced out beats. Moritz Hofbauer is next and has been making beats since he was 17. His track is another serene and late night roller with lots of drama in its bones, before Lake Avalon & Rancido team up for the excellent closer that is Interstellar with its cosmic signifiers and soft melodies. All in all, another great EP.
