In 2018, Atlanta-based music label, Psycho Disco! Records, have scoured the globe to collect some of the world's most enigmatic fundamental house tunes to add to their rapidly growing discography. This year alone, the label has already released seven EPs and tracks from artists including LA Riots, Craze, Golf Clap, Treasure Fingers, Codes, Gettoblaster, E.R.N.E.S.T.O, Hunter Reid, Steve Darko, and more. For their eighth release this year, and 37th release over all, the label is throwing it to Connecticut producer Lux Groove on brand new EP titled 'Setup.'
A stacked four-track release, the 'Setup' EP hears Lux Groove crack into a balmy slice of classic house riddled with ticking hi-hats, bumping synth and tech-house influences. Joining Lux Groove on the project, friends Steve Darko, Mark Starr, and Ghostea all take the OG mix into the lab for their own respective flips on the track. From Darko's Acid House wash, to Mark Starr's late-night breaks rework, and finally ending with Ghostea's adventurous Weirdo House interpretation, the 'Setup' EP leaves no house sub-genre untouched.
