Seven Davis Jr and The Nest present Universes

The Nest welcomes the incredible Seven Davis Jr as he plays every Friday night in November. Ready to show us his worlds and universes through four personally curated billings, we’re excited to see where Seven takes us…

Inspired by his debut album of the same name, Universes at The Nest will see the likes of Funkineven, Sassy J, Marcellus Pittman, Josey Rebelle, Andrew Ashong, Reginal Omas Mamode IV, Osunlade and Tasker come together for Seven’s winter series. Featuring friends and those who have inspired him as well as a live performance from Seven himself; these four parties delve into SDJr’s past, present and future.

Released this summer on Ninja Tune, Universes satisfied a hunger that had been grumbling since Seven’s first single ‘One’ in 2013. Labeled ‘an intergalactic soul record’ Universes was received with sincere acclaim as it explores SDJnr’s unconventional take on house and funk – ultimately setting him apart from the rest as a totally unique talent.
