Colombia’s Andrés Velilla brings the heat on the second NoiseFloor Records release with a top house tune that is backed with remixes by Deep Spelle and Nat Barrera.
NoiseFloor label boss Velilla has spent time in Miami and Montreal, always picking up influences along the way to add to the richness of his sound. He’s also held down DJ residencies, booked talent and played the likes of Stereo and Piknic Electronik, so is an established artist with a fully formed sound.
His ‘Shades of Groove’ here is a steamy house cut with slow burning pads and slippery synth lines that all work to a mid-point peak that will have the ‘floor in raptures. When the tune drops, it carries you away on a breezy late-night vibe that is truly sensuous. An Instrumental removes the warped vocal to focus more on the intoxicating grooves.
Remixer Deep Spelle is doing a fine job of establishing himself as a quality deep house producer after tracks on legendary label King Street Sound and here flips the original into something low down and supple, with loose rhythms and subtle tonal coloration adding to the lushness.
Last of all, Argentina born, Montreal based Nat Barrera uses his formal production and engineering skills to cook up steamy drums and interweaving synth lines that are deliciously drawn out and alluring.
These are four rich and deep house tunes that are designed for the more intimate and personal dance floors out there.
