Silvie Loto releases four robust originals with ‘Crying Love’ out this November on BPitch Control.
With a powerhouse like Ellen Allien at the helm the Berlin-based BPitch Control has cemented itself as a mainstay imprint since its formation in 1997, which over the years has stacked up a staggeringly good back catalogue of releases from names that include the likes of Modeselektor, Paul Kalkbrenner, Ben Klock, Apparat & Sascha Funke. Following on from her debut LP ‘Solstice’ released on BPitch back in 2013 Silvie returns to its ever-burgeoning family with ‘Crying Love’.
Italian-native Silvie Loto initially cut her musical teeth as a resident at the Tenax club in Florence, it was form here that she went on to head up residencies at an international array of parties that include Ultrabeat at the famed Goa in Rome, Jamies Jone’s ‘Paradise’ at DC10 and Marco Carloa’s ‘Music On’ at Amnesia.
Title track ‘Crying Love’ and ‘Breeze’ are masterful examples of Silvies propensity to seamlessly blur the lines between house and techno with impassioned affect, incorporating her own elegant and ethereal vocals over soft pads, warm resonating bass and shifting percussion to deliver deeply emotive and melodic cuts. The final two offerings on the release take a slightly more kinetic approach from the rippling drums and pulsating synths of ‘Flow’ to the hazy modulations and deep resounding tones of ‘Woo’ the multitalented producer showcases her versatility and eclectic taste with ease in these four deep and dynamic tracks.
Silvie Loto ‘Crying Love’ drops on BPitch Control in November 2014.
