Simina Grigoriu is back with another high-octane techno stomper. Following the critically-acclaimed release of her nostalgic 1981 single on her Kuukou imprint back in April, the ever-prolific Berlin-based DJ, producer and label head shows no signs of letting up, as she returns to the fore with a huge new cut, just in time for the summer festival season.
Hand picked by Dolma Records’ label boss Dolby D to deliver a remix for Tom Wax & Dr Motte’s massive new record Plur, Simina makes her long-awaited return to the burgeoning French imprint with one of her finest productions to date. A dark, intense and dynamic, six-minute warehouse edit, primed for the early hours, Simina’s remix makes up part of the three-track EP package, which is now available to stream and buy at all major DSPs.
The release comes in the middle of a whirlwind summer for the Romanian-born, Toronto-bred talent who – alongside running her ever-growing Kuukou Records label – has performed at some of the most prestigious techno festivals and events in Europe. Next up, fans can catch her spinning at the legendary UNTOLD Festival in Romania, where she’ll be closing out the Time stage on Sunday, August 7.
