Simina Grigoriu Returns to KuuKou Records with Radiocarbon

Simina Grigoriu stands as one of the most promising talents on the European Techno circuit, with an ever-flourishing back catalogue of authentic cuts gracing some of the industry’s leading imprints. Kicking off the year with hard-hitting releases on Kuukou, Dolma Records and Kaligo Records, Simina continues her rich vein of form as she returns to her own imprint with the majestic solo offering, Radiocarbon.

Flawlessly executed, the refined techno cut is another prime example of Grigoriu’s technical capabilities in the studio. Blending uncompromising percussion with dreamy soundscapes and rapturous vocal chops, the immersive Radiocarbon delivers on both rhythm and melody in equal measure. Its masterfully layered drum patterns give a nod to the Kuukou label boss’ Berlin base, breeding the city’s techno influence with tight and trippy synth work to create a record that’s both familiar and beautifully progressive.

Launched in 2012, Kuukou records has served as an invaluable platform for the underground community, sharing the authentic perspectives of both established and up-and-coming artists alike. With countless offerings scattered within the imprint’s storied discography, Simina’s Kuukou opuses are fully reflective of the label’s forward-thinking ethos and allow her to present music with unbounded creativity.
