Smasher – Shout Out

Do you remember the golden age of UK Garage? London-based producer and DJ Smasher and his good friend Preshus do. And even as Midication Recordings’ propels ever forwards with their latest release riding high in the Beatport Deep House chart they’re looking back with fond memories to the soundtrack of ‘Shout Out’.

A homage to UKG and heavily supported by the scene’s stalwarts including DJ Target on BBC 1Xtra and DJ EZ and Majestic on Kiss FM ‘Shout Out’ is an undeniable party anthem with feelgood swagger and nostalgic lyrics.

Taking things into deeper, more modern territory S.Chu, best known for the massive ‘Closure’ on Defected, offers up a bass-heavy rework that is set to tear down clubs all over. Meanwhile Smasher delivers his take on trap with a cheeky 808-fuelled remix of his own.
