After another headline-making, trend-setting and record-breaking season in Ibiza, Solomun’s latest iconic +1 season at Pacha came to a close last Sunday 9th October before he heads off on a world tour.
This final party saw the Diynamic label boss and house icon play all night long and saw him go deep in to his crates to serve up the same mix of forward thinking tunes and big classics that has made him so revered.
Overall, the season, which also comes after a split Solomun+LIVE residency at Destino and Ushuaia, has been packed with magical musical memories. The whole season was sold out, and highlights include a first ever appearance from Richie Hawtin, Kave parties with his label mates and villa afterparties with the likes of Ame, plus hours and hours of back to back sets at the party or at one of the celebrated afterparties. Solomun also played the Space Terrace during closing on a legendary Monday morning after his set at Pacha and held the only take over at DC10 to celebrate 10 years of his Diynamic label. It was a huge success on a par with the massive free party they did at the port than saw 8000 people come and party all night long.
As well as this one last party at Pacha, Solomun is soon to head off on tour around the world this winter, including dates all across Asia in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo, plus headline slots in Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Russia, Ireland, London and Abu Dhabi as well as in Germany and North America in December before a very special New Year’s Eve event.
As he continues to make ten years of his influential label, this is sure to be a fantastic end to 2016 for one of dance music’s biggest icons.
