Songstats: Product Update – May 2020
New Deezer Integration, Activity Settings, Beatport Release Charts & more…
New Data Integration: Deezer
As one of the most requested data sources, we’re proud to announce the full implementation of Deezer into Songstats. Deezer’s extensive API allows for a complete integration, including playlist positions, charts, follower numbers and popularity. After the initial aggregation we are now tracking data for over 1,000,000 songs and 200,000 playlists, with more being added every day.
New Product Feature: Activity Settings
Songstats is a platform for all artists and labels. It’s important to acknowledge that at different stages of a career, key metrics shift and certain data points become more important than others. In order for Songstats to be a helpful tool for profiles of all sizes, we are introducing new Activity Settings that allow users to set custom filters for their artist and label subscriptions.
Activity Settings apply across both the activity feed and push notifications and are unique to each member of a team. An additional toggle allows for filtering by only recent tracks, limiting the feed to only display activities of songs released in the past 3 months.
Beatport Release Charts & Features
We are now tracking both the Beatport Release Charts as well as Feature placements across all genres. These include Banners, New Releases, Staff Picks & Hype Picks. There are two new tabs for these categories in the track analytics, and new activities are showing up in the feed and will be delivered via push notifications.
Stability Improvements: iOS & Android
Some users have been reporting concerns in regards to receiving push notifications, confirming subscriptions, and experiencing occasional app crashes. We’ve updated the main framework and SDKs to address these issues and just released version 2.1 which is now available and recommended to be installed by all iOS and Android users.
