This New Year’s Eve, charismatic Brixton hang-out Sorry, No Vacancies will host an intimate celebration with good-time vibes from seminal breaks artist Tayo and music connoisseurs Soul Jazz Soundsytem, offering a welcome respite from the hectic hum-drum of NYE.
Influential producer and co-founder of music institution Friction, Tayo was the fuse in the explosion of global breakbeat culture. Driven by a passion to explore all aspects of dub, hip-hop, D&B and everything bass-lead his fifteen-year career has seen him hold down residencies at some of the world’s most respected club nights including Fabric, Ministry of Sound, The End and Bugged Out.
Joining Tayo are vinyl fanatics Soul Jazz Soundsystem. With a label and much loved record store ‘Sound Of The Universe’ in London’s Soho, they will be delving deep into their extensive record collection for NYE to showcase a genre-defying selection of off-piste musical magic from Disco to Dubstep and house to hip-hop.
With more acts to be announced, complimentary Champagne (while stocks last), an LSD themed cocktail menu and gourmet hot-dogs, Sorry, No Vacancies has all basses covered for a fun-fuelled start to 2014. Let the good times roll…
