Twelve months after celebrating our 10th Anniversary, South West Four returns to our spiritual home of Clapham Common across the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Eighty of the world’s leading DJs and live electronic acts, as well as tens of thousands of dance music enthusiasts, will help write the next chapter in SW4’s illustrious history. Day One of SW4 2014 will welcome forty prime international artists across four stages. Phase one of our lineup now complete with more acts to come in the next few weeks.

Headlining on Saturday 23rd August, South West Four welcomes Above & Beyond for their exclusive London appearance of 2014 and first major open air performance in their home city. Fans from all four corners of the globe look set to make the pilgrimage for this pinnacle moment in their history, making SW4 2014 a must attend event for their hugely devoted fanbase. They will be joined on the main stage by an act of extreme popularity and ability; Alesso. This will be the Swede’s SW4 debut and his only London performance this year. Our main stage will also be rocked to the core when two titans of trance collaborate to form one unstoppable force, as Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz’s New World Punx make their London debut. Markus will also play a solo set in one of indoor arenas as he showcases the outstanding audience interaction, flawless harmonic mixing and intuitive tune selection that has resulted in him becoming a long time SW4 favourite.

Our indoor arenas will also play host to many of the world’s leading underground artists. This includes Berlin techno institution Paul Kalkbrenner who finally makes his SW4 debut in his only UK show of 2014. Having sold out his ‘Used + Abused’ event at Brixton Academy weeks in advance, Loco Dice joins us at SW4 this summer for his exclusive London festival play of 2014 and at the very pinnacle of his career. Widely regarded as the leader of the new house sound that has dominated dancefloors worldwide over the past five years, Jamie Jones also plays SW4 for the first time this year. He will be joined by DC-10 brother in arms Seth Troxler. As one of the scene’s most-loved characters, 2014 has seen Seth return to his nightclub roots so it’s therefore with great pride that he has selected South West Four for his only London festival performance this year.

Having previously headlined South West Four three times (more than any other artist), Sasha’s exploits on Clapham Common are the stuff of folklore. In 2014 he returns to build on this legacy by hosting his own stage for the first time. Another three underground titans will also make history at SW4 this year as Matthias Tanzmann, Davide Squillace and Martin Buttrich come together for the first ever UK performance of Better Lost Than Stupid. A hugely anticipated SW4 debut also comes from Tale of Us, as the brilliant duo showcase the kind of excellence which resulted in their #2 placing in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJs of 2013. Finally as one of the most significant electronic music acts of the past two decades, Booka Shade will bring their brand new live show to SW4, featuring tracks from their seminal back catalogue along with cuts from their new album ‘EVE’.

With further performances coming from Fedde Le Grand, Guy Gerber, Paco Osuna, Cosmic Gate, Magda, Josh Wink (20 Years of Ovum set), Arty, Henry Saiz [Live Band Show], Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Super8 & Tab and Robert Dietz, the quality at SW4 2014 only continues.

SW4 DAY TWO: SUNDAY 24TH AUGUST

deadmau5 • Eric Prydz
ALSO ANNOUNCED SO FAR IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER:
Andy C • Catz N Dogz • Claude VonStroke • Eats Everything • Heidi • Kim Ann Foxman
Laurent Garnier • Maceo Plex • Marco Carola • Maya Jane Coles • MK • Netsky [Live] • Skream
+ MANY MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED

Day two of SW4 2014 showcases more of the world’s greatest electronic acts as they align across four mammoth stages. Closing the main stage will be the explosive audio / visual talents of deadmau5 for his only London performance of 2014. This will be his first appearance in the Capital in over two years, with his Clapham Common debut representing the most anticipated booking in South West Four history. Deadmau5 will be joined by Eric Prydz who returns to SW4 for the fifth time in six years. His hypnotic musical journeys are continuously regarded amongst the weekend’s highlights and we expect nothing different in 2014.

Global ambassadors of underground music will come thick and fast across all stages. After his mindblowing set in 2013 caused near apocolyptic scenes, techno tour de force Marco Carola returns for another mesmerising performance. London has been crying out for another summer appearance from the Italian master and we are delighted that SW4 is his festival of choice. A techno education can also be expected from Laurent Garnier, whose relentless quest to unearth the very best new music has kept the world dancing for the last thirty years. Another exclusive London festival set comes from one of the most technically gifted artists on the planet today; Maceo Plex. His beautifully crafted yet punchy productions are instantly recognisable and have served to highten his stellar sets yet further.

Boasting an array of drums, synths, keys and live vocalists, drum & bass warrior Netsky will showcase his astounding live show. As one of Belgium’s premium exports this rare London performance is guaranteed to go down in SW4 history. He will be joined by a man who has helped to shape drum & bass for over twenty years The Executioner aka Andy C. Universally recognised as one of the greatest DJs to ever walk the planet, Andy’s standout performances at SW4 over the years have made him one of the most popular acts that we bring to Clapham Common each summer.

Having been responsible for creating some of the biggest dance tracks of the 90’s, MK’s recent renasissance has influenced a new generation of fans, so much so that he is now considered the hottest property in house music. Similar beats will also be showcased from the most in demand DJ in British house music Eats Everything, with the Bristolian taking control of one of our mammoth indoor arenas for the first time. When it comes to females leading the charge in electronic music, Maya Jane Coles is definitely at the forefront. SW4 will be her first set in London in seven months and with her meteoric rise up the electronic music ladder showing no signs of slowing down, we can’t wait for Maya to seduce our minds into unchartered territories.

With Claude VonStroke, Skream, Heidi, Catz N Dogz and Kim Ann Foxman amongst the special guests also announced for the eleventh instalment of South West Four, the countdown is now on for another very special weekend on Clapham Common. Let the good times roll…
