High Tide Recordings is now onto its sixth EP and has really started to carved out its own sound. The latest offering comes from Mongo and is finished with an Athea remix that ensures it is another essential package.
Mongo has already impressed on this label and carries on from where he left off with Spacewalker. It’s a deep, stripped back club tune with dry hits and rising tension that leads two a big drop that will get the floor marching as one. Athea then flips the tune into something more sci-fi and atmospheric, with rippling pads and mid tempo drums casting a real spell. Bend The Knee is a twinkling, melodic house closer that is laden with dramatic, sweeping synths and rolling drums. All in all then, another excellent EP all round.
