Chris Fortier’s FADE Records continues to reveal a superb series of releases to fire up the world’s dancefloors in 2017, next up comes a dynamic 3-track EP from the fabulously named – Hair Band Drop-Out. Hailing from the same Central Florida, USA hotbed as DJ Three and Rabbit In The Moon, this is the enigmatic artist’s most impressive work to date.

Launched with a suitably tripped out intro, title track ‘Spelunca’ steadily builds into a delicious, mutating hypnotic groover with psychedelic overtones. ‘Ascent’ takes a deeper more stripped-back route into darker outer space techno territory, before ‘Penny For Your Thoughts’ rounds-off the package with a deeply hallucinogenic return trip – an all-round intoxicating experience to savour, for sure.
