Spinnin’ Records launches free subscription label

Spinnin’ Record is starting a free subscription label, releasing only music that is completely free to download. Aptly named Spinnin’ Premium, this brand new label kicks off with the release of ‘Ghost Child’ on Friday 23 October, a popular track by Firebeatz & Apster featuring Spree Wilson.

Spinnin’ Premium means another big step for the Dutch dance label, after celebrating major achievements on social media, including receiving a ‘Diamond Play Button’ Award from YouTube this summer for reaching 10 million subscribers on its video channel.

Spinnin’ Premium
With the launch of Spinnin’ Premium, a free subscription imprint focusing on 100% free music, the label takes its marketing strategy to a next level. Here, everyone can sign up and receive every released track as a free download for a period of two weeks.

“The music industry is changing rapidly”, says Spinnin’s ceo Eelko van Kooten. “Focus is shifting from paying for your music to streaming and other freemium models. People are now expecting music to be available how and whenever they want it. We’ve always acknowledged this by sharing as much of our releases as possible on social media and streaming sites, now we break down that final wall by giving away the music as free downloads.”

‘Ghost Child’

The first release on Spinnin’ Premium comes from Firebeatz & Apster, both renowned names on the Dutch label, delivering a monster of an electro tune with ‘Ghost Child’, incorporating haunting piano chords and a couple of overwhelming synth stabs and singalong chorus. This will be followed by releases on a regular basis, all free to download for Premium subscribers.
