From his A&R position at Paper Recordings, managing the Electric Elephant Festival and having a tidy DJ gig schedule, Chris has brought together all experiences from each of these avenues and channeled them all into his very own venture…Sprechen is here to support and expose the work of local based producers as well as those studio dwellers from further afield….if it sounds good then we want to share it.
In a world of excessive digital labels, Sprechen will concentrate on quality over quantity and look to do a handful of releases per year…
The first EP comes from Damon Jee (Days Of Being WIid/Nein Records) and is 2 tracks of low slung, late night antics that has its sights firmly set on dance floor warping…remixes for this debut comes from Hardway Bros aka Sean Johnston who goes all Krautrock in the studio with Tici Taci’s Duncan Gray on guitar duties whilst Il Est Vilaine (Kompakt) get the big guns out and aim directly for peak time in the club…each track will fit into a set at any point of the night and guarantee some serious raising of the hands…
