Known for their output of quality, commercial house music, production duo Just Kiddin return with new single ‘Out My Mind’ released on their label favourite, Perfect Havoc. This latest offering is a serotonin-inducing, feelgood track with JK’s signature high-level production featuring the pop infused vocal of multi-platinum selling artist, Georgia Ku.
The Leeds-based producers Just Kiddin aka Lewis Thompson and Laurie Revell have been making waves since the release of their 2014 summer hit ‘Thinking About It’. Released via Parlophone’s dance imprint, FFRR, it received over 50 plays across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and over 16 million streams online. Just Kiddin had arrived!
In the language of streaming stats, chart positions and radio play, Just Kiddin are tearing it right up. Contributing to their overall stream count of 200 million is the 2021 single ‘Risk It All’ with Ella Henderson and House Gospel Choir, which received a ‘Hottest Record’ accolade from Charlie Hedges on BBC Radio 1 and was added to the B-list on Radio 2. Their collaboration ‘Closer’ with Sonny Fodera was also a streaming hit on Spotify, finding its way into the platform’s biggest dance playlists such as Beast Mode and mint.
There’s always an abundance of quality coming out of the Just Kiddin studio. Other notable releases include the Radio 1 ‘Future Anthem’ ‘Body Talk’ (on Nothing Else Matters), to the more recent contagious pop-dance outing ‘Change My Mind’ on Perfect Havoc, which received 11 spins on BBC Radio 1’s Party Anthems and charted at #7 on Billboard’s Dance/Mixshow Chart.
On the touring side, Just Kiddin are just as adept, having played four dates at the Joel Corry Pool Party residency at Ibiza Rocks last summer, as well as for WNDRLND x Perfect Havoc at Eden Ibiza.
Who better to join JK on this new single than the multi-platinum singer and songwriter, Georgia Ku. The London-based songstress is behind some of the biggest pop and dance songs of the past few years, penning hits for the likes of Dua Lipa, Alan Walker, Rita Ora, Illenium and Jennifer Lopez.
Georgia’s voice powered NOTD & Felix Jaehn’s chart-busting international smash ‘So Close’, which tallied 355 million Spotify streams, cracked Top 40 radio in the U.S., and garnered a nomination for ‘Dance Song of the Year’ at the 2020 iHeartRadio Awards. Recently, Georgia wrote/featured on Alan Walker’s single ‘Don’t You Hold Me Down’, Felix Jaehn & Robin Schulz’s ‘I Got A Feeling’, and Sam Feldt’s ‘Call On Me’.
