Hailing from Manchester UK, Stephani B has already built a solid and ever-growing fan base. Her electrifying remixes and live performance mash ups see her draw on her drum pad skills to lay down killer grooves full of vibrant synths and plenty of club ready energy. She has 250,000 followers on Instagram and over half a million on TikTok and now makes a big step up with this latest new production alongside Movada.
The Leeds-based producer Movada has been on a fine run of form for a while now with a vast array of recent hits to his name. These included the tech house rework of Akon’s 2005 hit ‘Bananza (Belly Dancer)’ which has over 27m views on TikTok, ‘Level Up’, ‘Push It’ which received 13 consecutive plays on BBC Radio 1, and most recently the bouncy floorfiller ‘Closer’ with South London rapper, BAMY. Movada has also had music synced to Love Island UK and has co-writing and production credits for Matoma and The Vamps.
Together the pair work their magic with a wholly new and original take on Crystal Waters’ seminal deep house classic ‘Gypsy Woman.’ The drums are quick and infectious, and the classic chords ring out loud as a re-sung vocal by Stephani B herself brings new school cool. Add in plenty of smart effects and filters and you have a bubbling, richly layered track full of colour that cannot fail to get huge reactions.
Perfect Havoc, which has been Shortlisted for Best Independent Record Label at the 2023 Music Week Awards, is a label that is very much defining the crossover house sound of now. It’s on point A&R and carefully curated roster of artists (including the likes of Ros-T, Tobtok & farfetch’d, Alfie Cridland, Jack Kelly, Oliver Nelson and Simon Field) have amassed over 10 billion global streams to date as well as giving rise to six UK Top 20 singles and multiple platinum, gold, and silver awards.
Stephani B is a fantastic new addition to the label’s ranks, and she gets the relationship underway in brilliant fashion with ‘Sober (La Da Dee)’ alongside Movada.
