Having rocked the inaugural Creamfields festival in Ibiza, Steve Angello’s set at Ushuaia was recorded as part of Radio 1’s 20th anniversary in Ibiza and aired last Saturday. Steve has a long history with the Essential Mix, with this being his 7th contribution to the legendary show, including efforts with Sebastian Ingrosso and Swedish House Mafia. He has also recorded an Essential Mix as part of Radio 1 in Ibiza before in 2006. That year, a special six hour mix featured sets from Steve Lawyer, Fergie, Paul Oakenfold, Mauro Picotto & Lisa Lashes.
This series of live Essential Mixes includes the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Hot Since 82 & MK. The BBC have also been airing classic Essential Mixes dating back to the very first one ever recorded in Ibiza from Nick Holloway at Ku (now Privelige) in 1995.
