Steve Aoki ft. Linkin Park - Steve Aoki ft. Linkin Park – Darker Than Blood (Nuri Remix)

Nairobi based, up-and-coming DJ and producer Nuri is set to continue his industrious production streak with yet another powerful release. After his incredible debut single ‘Blue Lagoon’ and a successful follow up track, ‘Right Back’, which landed Beatport’s ‘Electro House Top 100’ chart, he is now eyeing the ‘Darker Than Blood Remix Competition’.

Inspired by Dance music heavyweights like: KSHMR, DVBBS, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia, Nuri has managed to come up with his own flavours of EDM, influenced by various electronic music genres and his Hip Hop roots. Wavo and Ultra Music have called producers worldwide to put their twist on Steve Aoki and Linkin Park’s latest collaboration by the name of ‘Darker Than Blood’ and Nuri has answered the call with an exhilarating Electro House effort.

Boasting an instant forceful introduction, ‘Darker Than Blood (Nuri Remix)’’ is off to an intense start. A heavy groove is joined by a subby bass-line, before transcending into an up-lifting melody. A massive ascension leads into a vocal-led breakdown, before momentum is built up with a euphoric synth melody and an array of tasty effects. The track bursts into a ripping EDM style drop, hailing devastating sounds and a thunderous beat. At this point Nuri strips away energy, leaving space for the vocals to shine once more, before restarting his ascension towards the colossal, energy-pouring chorus. A bassy section takes over, whilst putting forward an intricate instrumental tract, resolving into a low-end-filled concluding section.

The winner of the ‘Darker Than Blood Remix Competition’, to announced on the 5th of July, 2015, is set to take home a grand price, comprising: an official release on Ultra Music, Steve Aoki’s merchandise pack, a premiere on Dancing Astronaut and a lifetime Wavo Pro Membership. Nuri is certainly a perfect candidate for this contest and therefore we invite you to cast your vote for Nuri’s remix before the 30th of June, 2015.
